Surgical Skin Tightening Candidates 

Ideal candidates for surgical skin tightening include men or women who are not happy with the appearance of their skin. Skin tightening surgery is best suited for individuals who are in overall good health, Non-smokers, have a BMI of 30 or less and are at a stable weight for at least 6 months. It is important to note that this surgery is not a weight loss procedure. To determine if surgical skin tightening is right for you, it is beneficial to consult with our double board certified surgeon, Dr. D’Agostino to find the best treatment plan for your unique needs. 

Skin Tightening Procedure 

Whether a skin excision or minimally invasive procedure is performed, anesthesia will be provided. The previously discussed incisions will be made and the excess skin will be removed or the cannula will be inserted to perform the targeted treatment. 

Surgical Skin Tightening Recovery 

Once you are home you need to follow all aftercare instructions provided by Dr. D’Agostino. You may experience temporary pain, bruising, swelling, and tightness in your treatment area. Any discomfort you feel will be manageable with the medications prescribed by your doctor.
