What is Radiesse?

About the Treatment
Radiesse is a very straightforward treatment. We’ll begin by cleansing the treatment area with antiseptic and preparing the injections. From there, your provider will use a very fine needle to inject the Radiesse formula into the treatment area. We can apply a topical anesthetic before treatment, but most patients tolerate it well without it.
Treatment usually doesn’t take any more than 15 minutes, but it can depend on the number of injections and filler material needed.
Treatment Areas
Radiesse treatment can be used in a variety of areas and on several concerns. It can be used on the face, around the corners of the mouth, cheeks, and hands. It can also be used to address smile lines, laugh lines, marionette lines, chin wrinkles, deep scars, and so much more.
What to Expect After Treatment
While you may see some mild redness, tenderness, and swelling at the injection site after treatment, those side effects will dissipate relatively quickly (usually within 24-48 hours).
After Radiesse, you should avoid strenuous exercise, excess sun exposure, excess heat, and alcohol for a few days. You can also use cold compresses to reduce any swelling.
As for results, you will see improvements immediately, but full results can take about a week. While the results are long-lasting, they aren’t permanent. You will need to receive maintenance treatment every two years to keep up your more youthful appearance.
