- Dissatisfied with the appearance of inverted nipples
- Having trouble with hygiene
- Experience self-image issues due to the condition of nipples
The Nipple Correction Surgery Procedure
During inverted nipple surgery, a small incision is made surrounding the areola to reduce visible scarring. The connective tissue stabilizing the nipple is severed, and the problem ducts are cut. Afterward, you receive a stitch around the area, and Dr. D’Agostino may inject dermal filler to prevent retraction.
Individuals who have undergone breast cancer may have gone through reconstructive surgeries after a mastectomy. After breast reconstruction, a patient may want to undergo nipple reconstruction. In this surgery, small incisions are made on the tip of the breast to mimic the appearance of a nipple.
