Do you ever wish you could take fat away from certain areas of your body and add it to others? Fat grafting, also known as fat transfer, can be used to take excess fat from a specific area of the body and transfer it to an area lacking volume.
What is Fat Grafting?
Fat grafting uses liposuction to extract adipose fat tissue from areas of excess and then injected into areas lacking volume. Once the fat is harvested it is processed and purified. Any area of the body with excess fat tissue can be used as a donor site. The fat can be injected into any area of the body to improve contour or add volume.

Your fat grafting procedure will begin with administering anesthesia. The fat is then extracted from a donor site using liposuction. Small incisions are made during liposuction, and fat is broken apart and removed through a cannula. The fat is processed and purified, then meticulously injected to the recipient site. Your liposuction incisions are then closed with absorbable sutures.
