What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?

A Brazilian butt lift uses sculpting and fat grafting to augment the buttocks without the need for implants. Brazilian Butt Lift requires the use of liposuction to remove unwanted fat from certain body areas, sculpting those parts of the body. The fat is then injected into the buttocks to add volume and improve the natural shape enhancing the waist and hips.

Brazilian Butt Lift Candidates

To be considered a good candidate for Brazilian butt lift surgery you should be in overall good health, a non-smoker, have a BMI of 30 or less and be at a stable weight for at least 6 months.

The Brazilian Butt Lift Procedure

Brazilian butt lift will require administration of general anesthesia. Your surgeon will begin by making very small incisions near the targeted liposuction areas. Next, Liposuction is performed to sculpt targeted areas. The fat is removed and collected under sterile conditions and purified before it is injected into the desired location. Dr. D’Agostino uses the latest technology and most importantly, safest technique to achieve the desired results.

Brazilian Butt Lift Recovery

Immediately after the procedure, you can experience swelling and bruising in the liposuction areas. Pain will be manageable with the medications prescribed by Dr. D’Agostino. During recovery, you are not allowed to sit directly on your buttocks or lie down in the area for at least two weeks. You will be provided with a special pillow to help you sit down without putting pressure on the surgical area. Normal sitting is permitted at around 8 weeks. Patients should start walking the day after surgery. This will help decrease constipation. Excess fluid may drain from the drains; drainage will slowly decrease during the first few days after your procedure. Light daily activities that do not require physical exertion are allowed after a few days. Most patients can return to work after two weeks. Post operatively you will be required to wear compression and undergo lymphatic drainage massages. Recovery differs for every patient, so following Dr. D’Agostino’s aftercare instructions are crucial.
